Cold As Ice

Let me start by saying that this song has actually nothing to do with the way that I'm feeling today. Still perfectly in love and have no intention of changing that ever. It's just been stuck in my head for the last 16 hours. The Song of The Day is Cold As Ice by Foreigner. Good song, catchy, stuck in my head, now stuck in yours. It's kind of a anti-love love song. Whatever.

How To Save A Life

Some people just aren't meant to play the hero. Some of us just can't help the people we care about the most. Some of us just don't know how to save the life of someone we love. The Song of The Day is How To Save A Life by The Fray, and for those of you that don't know, this song was written for the lead singers friend in rehab who killed himself. Now you know why the song exists, let's find out why it's here. Actually, I'll leave you all to wonder, I've got better people to talk to. Somebody that I care about and that I'm not going to risk ruining a relationship with just because of a stupid song. If that's what the universe wants, then the universe can go fuck itself.

Leave Out All The Rest

Does anybody else find it strange that when somebody dies we only look at them two ways? We either only see all the good they did in their life, or we only see all the bad. That's not right. I mean sure, nobody wants to be remembered as some asshole who would ruin your day for drinking the wrong kind of coffee, no, we all want to be remembered as the good guy. The one who would give you the shirt of his back if yours got a stain at lunch. We all want the world to remember our good side and leave out all the rest. The Song of The Day is Leave Out All The Rest by Linkin Park. Now the music video for this song isn't exactly what I had expected. I was thinking it was gonna be a funeral or something, but no. It's Linkin Park walking around a space shuttle about to hit a sun. What. The. Fuck. How does it relate to the song? No fucking clue. Do I like the video anyway? Indeed I do. When I hear this song I see a broken couple. One reading a suicide letter as the other stands on the edge of a bridge, and as the last chorus rings out, the one on the bridge jumps. I don't know where I'm going with this, I've been thinking pretty chaotically since yesterday. Whatever. This song was also played during the end credits of the Twilight movie, so all you teenage girls and grown women obsessed with a closeted homosexual "vampire" or "werewolf" will recognize this if you sat through the credits at the end.

Lights Out

So I just got home from the movie theater, went and saw Real Steel, and let me say that it's basically Rocky 2, but about robots. Still badass though. Whenever I see a boxing movie, it makes me want to fight. Ridiculous I know, especially with my lower than average muscle mass, but there's just something that makes me want to prove myself in a fight after watching those movies. I just kept thinking "I can do that." whenever one of the robots pulled off some badassery. I also kept thinking "Damn this movie would be better if Rocket were here", but she's sick. Hoping she feels better by Monday, or even better would be Tomorrow. Because tomorrow I will have vehicular transportation available to me and then, if her grandparents would let her miss chores for another day, we can go pick her up and then we could go out and do something. I don't know what and I don't particularly care what so long as we're doing whatever it is together. Anyway, in honor of the righteously kickass robot boxing movie Real Steel, The Song of The Day is Lights Out by Mindless Self Indulgence. Now go the fuck to sleep.

Tribute

So I've been trying to write this damn song for like 4 fucking months now, I know how it ends, I know the chorus, but I also know it's not finished. So I started writing some other lyrics. And It ended up sounding something like Tribute by Tenacious D. So The Song Of The Day is Tribute by Tenacious D. No I'm not going to post my songs lyrics here, because everybody would hear something different going with the lyrics. I promise though, the moment you can look up my song on youtube or itunes I'll let you guys know. Today kinda sucked, I was planning on skipping school and chilling around the park until 4th class, but I didn't cuz I thought Rocket was going to school today, and we were playing Bingo in 4th class and the winners get candy, but I mainly went for Rocket, and she was sick today. Anime Sad Faceness *I cry blood*. I tried calling to see how she was doing, but nobody answered, and I couldn't get on facebook in time to chat with her because I had to babysit today. Not a good start to a weekend.

Hey There Delilah

The Song of The Day is Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's. A song written for a girl, so now it's in a post written for a girl. So Rocket, just a few more years and we'll be done with school and the band'll be making history. I seem incapable of writing my own love song, so I'll just have to keep using other bands. So what if the distance isn't a thousand miles! It might as well be with how much we see eachother afterschool. But I never have the money or the transportation whenever you're available, and you're always grounded, it would seem our families are hell bent on keeping us as separate as possible, but they won't succeed. I'll walk all the way if I have to just so I can see you, or just steal a car or something. Have my bro fly a plane up here to help us escape. Or we could be patient and actually wait until we're done with school. Whatever happens first.

Blurry

I've been thinking a lot today. Well, more of a continuation of a thought from yesterday. I've been thinking of the purpose of the human race, and my conclusion is something that you will not like and probably will not agree with Readers. The existence of the Human race is to reproduce as much as possible, use as many resources as are available to us, and unlike every other species on earth that will attempt to adapt to it's environment, we will adapt our environment to our wants.
Ever seen The Matrix? Agent Smith has very similar thinking. He brings up an "organism" that follows the same pattern; A Virus. A parasite that will always attempt to take over it's current living environment. Some viruses may even kill you, now what are we doing to our planet? We're killing our planet. Now I don't know how any of this relates to my song of the day for today, but whatever. The Song of The Day is Blurry by Puddle of Mud. Right now, I feel like hell, and I don't understand why. That's the funny part. Not "haha" funny, funny as in strange. Going through it all in my head I've narrowed it down to the second. I'm not sure though.

The Song of The Day is I Wanna Rock by Twisted Sister. For those of us who are sick of whiny people telling us we need to "turn it down or turn it off". A message to the whiny people, if you don't like our music, get some earplugs or shut up. Thank you.

Juke Box Hero

Ever have that one song that reminds you of the best and worst feelings you've ever had? My first time on stage. I didn't wear a mask. I wasn't afraid. But I missed my cue to start singing the first time. It was for a competition at my school. One of the judges did a show with Foreigner, and the greatest thing ever, was having him come up to me afterwards and tell me how good of a job I did, and how much I had improved since my audition. The song I did? Juke Box Hero by Foreigner. A "friend" of mine, I put friend in quotes because it was more of a mutual dislike but tolerance of eachother, told me I was great after I was done. But it didn't matter how many people told me how good I was, after that night, I stopped singing. We are our greatest critics, a friend once told me, and they were right. Hearing myself, I know I could've done better. That night was the worst I had ever done, and it destroyed me. Ruined me. All my life I've been singing, since I was little and listening to Hotel California (by The Eagles) in my grandmothers truck. I recently talked to an old mentor and friend of mine, we'll just call him B.B. for now, I forgot how long it had been since we talked, he didn't even know I played guitar. But it got me thinking, thinking about everything that I gave up on. The people, the things, the places. The place. If I ever go back to Pennsylvania, it'll be just to walk those streets again. To see the school that helped me develop the code I go by today. If I ever go back to Pennsylvania, it'll be for the memories. The Song of The Day is Juke Box Hero by Foreigner. Readers, no matter how much you want to forget something, never forget your past. Now, I'm a strong believer that a man's past shouldn't define who they are now, it should be his present, but his past has helped make him who he is in that moment. Never forget what has made you who you are.

le Internet Medley

So, you at least know what a meme is right? Before this goes any further, using this logic right here-> You're on the internet, so you know what a meme is.
If any part of that confused you, gtfo. Which stands for GET THE FUCK OUT. As in leave the page now.
The Song of The Day is le Internet Medley by The Gag Quartet. 3 foreign guys that set up potentially the greatest comedic song I have ever heard. But the song is stupid without the video so you'll have to ring up your old friend youtube for this one. It's just. There's really no way to describe it. It's the Song of The Day though. And you're here. Which means you wanted to know what today's song would be. And now you know. So you should go look it up.

Papercut

There is something wrong with me. It's like I'm different. Not just different, but different people. I don't understand how anything gets done when I'm involved, I don't remember half of my days or doing any of my school work sometimes, but it all gets done. That essay I'm supposed to write on how company's should stop replacing workers with machines, yeah that's already done. And I don't remember writing it. But my rough draft has been turned in 4 days early. The Song of The Day is Papercut by Linkin Park, because something isn't right today. I've already finished reading The Catcher in The Rye, written an unneeded report on it. No I'm not on any drugs, or doing anything else illegal. I just have the worst memory ever. In the entire existence of humanity. Literally. I'm surprised I ever remember my own damn name.

If I Ever Feel Better

I've been looking for that one song to just make me want to dance. Yes I said dance, and I don't dance. At all. You can ask Rocket, I tried at Homecoming, and it ended up looking like I was in some sort of techno-mosh pit. I've been looking for a really funky feeling song, without going into the range of disco, not that I have anything against disco, I just think that it would kinda be cheating. What I found today to fit that need of funk was this. The Song Of The Day is If I Ever Feel Better by Phoenix, from the United album. A friend of mine from Florida showed me this band originally, but I never really looked them up until after I heard this song (now I feel stupid because I could've heard this song so much earlier). Good lyrics, good beat. I highly suggest looking this one up if you haven't looked up any other song on this page. Anyway, I'm just waiting for the new American Horror Story episode to come on, it airs at 8 p.m. here, 9 p.m. central time, 10 p.m. Eastern. Watch it. Start with episode 1 though. otherwise you'll be all sorts of fucked up on where you're supposed to be. It's not so much a "horror" as it is creepy. Not like Ghost Hunters creepy, but like "No fucking way this could ever happen but still creeps the hell out of me" creepy.
So yeah I'm just killing time right now. Figured I'd type up my song for today, and now I'm just killing time. Things are amazing with Rocket, except my mother told her about this spot in-between my ribs that the nerve endings are all sorts of messed up in, it causes me to lose muscle control in my arms and legs occasionally, but yeah... I'll get you back somehow Mom. Mark my words.

Iridescent

Is anyone else really sick of all these pessimistic, unintelligent, typical american naysayers? I am, but there's nothing we can do to change these people, it's just who they are. They were born to be assholes, and all we can do is plaster on our big fake smiles and laugh them off. But maybe it's time those smiles stop being faked. Maybe it's time we legitimately stopped caring about all their hateful words and actions. Maybe it's time we just let it go. Take all the sadness, depression, frustration, and every other negative emotion they bestow in our hearts, and let it all go in just one burst of shining golden purity. What I mean by purity is that peace of mind when you are truly content and in awe with the world. Let's make that our permanent high, stop chasing the dream that all of them were dead and just accept that they don't matter in your life. Well, I guess in some small way they do. Somebody once told me that God put evil people on Earth to help us find the good. I then told them that God didn't put evil on earth because there is no God. But that's beside the point, what they meant was that every horrid person in your life, in your world, was put there to make you stronger. (get ready to be shocked and appalled with my next statement) They were put here to teach us to cope. Those that couldn't cope, couldn't be stronger, kill themselves. Yes I am telling you that we shouldn't give the suicides glory in their death, they're dead, get over it. Nothing you can do will ever bring them back or change it. Learn from their mistakes, and adapt.
Now back to the regularly scheduled semi-motivational type for today. All we can do is realize that those haters, and those pessimists, will always be around to try and bring down those of us that are better than them, and they know it. So they project their insecurities on the rest of us. They forget the honor that was implanted in all of our brains in kindergarten. Who remembers The Golden Rule? They had a little song for it, "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You". Translation; treat others how you would have them treat you. If you're reading this and thinking "Damn, I should start living by this rule again", then it's already too late for you and the dark side has claimed your soul. But that's just my thoughts, I personally believe that people can't change. A killer is always a killer no matter how justifiable the killing was, a liar is always a liar no matter how much truth they tell, and a cheat will always be a cheat. Just my thoughts on people.
I keep getting way off topic. Damn. Anyway, if I didn't already say it, the Song Of The Day is Iridescent by Linkin Park.
Readers, what's your song of the day?

Thank You

Hey, I'm back. Before I get to my post for today, cuz I don't actually have a song for today yet, Here's the songs for the days I was absent.

10/31- This Is Halloween by Panic! At The Disco (Can you guess why?)
11/1- All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around You) by Bullet For My Valentine
11/2- Black Cat by Mayday Parade (I couldn't stop singing it!)
11/4- I Just Wanna Run by The Downtown Fiction
11/5- Ode To Joy by Beethoven (I love V For Vendetta)

Which Brings us to today. November 6th. The Song of The Day is Thank You by Simple Plan. This song, to me, represents how much you can know a person and still know nothing about them. It comes down to one persons word and assumptions against the others, and after that you'll both regret splitting. Whether it be a best friend or a girlfriend/boyfriend, eventually they will betray you in some way. It could be catastrophic, it could be a minor threat to your relationship, or it could be absolutely nothing, but they will all betray your trust, your love, or your friendship. Sure maybe I've got some dark thoughts going on today but I have solid reason. Not something I'm at liberty to share with you currently, as I'm not the one that fucked up this time (GASP! Be surprised, make all your little smart ass comments now while you're still safe from my wrath. FEAR MY WRATH!). Maybe another good song for this is Dirty Little Secret by All-American Rejects, because now you've become just another regret. But whatever. There are those that you can trust, for a while. This makes me wonder how many others have kept our secrets. Like The Girl and Vic, how many have been shared and how many (if any) have been kept? Well, nothing to do now but move on. Tomorrow is another day filled with new experiences, new music, and hopefully new skills.
Readers, what's your song of the day?
