People Are Strange

So if I had any readers I imagine somebody would be pissed about me calling this song alternative, but I don't really know where else to put it. Doesn't really have that rock feel to it.
Anyway, the Song of The Day is People Are Strange by Doors, I wasn't sure if the bands official name is The Doors or just Doors everywhere I look it's different. Reasoning for this being my SOTD is that I got to take a crazy test today! Find out just what's wrong with my personality, I tell you there's nothing more gratifying than being judged by doctors and legal-pricks. Nope, just nothing like it. (CAN YOU TASTE THE SARCASM?)

Renegade

I go in to do my time tomorrow. It's gonna be righteous. Gonna go in, make some friends, get some life experience, hopefully NOT get raped up the ass. It's gonna be great.
The Song of The Day is Renegade by Styx! STYX MAN! FUCKING STYX! I can't believe this is the first Styx song I've posted on here! I don't even know if it's really by Styx, give me a sec to look it up.. Yep. It's by Styx.
Anyway, I'll be gone until the 7th of November, so if there's any posts on here, it's not me.
Readers, what's your Song of The Day? HAPPY HALLOWEEN BITCHES!!!

I'll Be Watching You

So I got asked why I don't post as much anymore and told that I should put up a song today. Well there are a couple answers to that question. The first being that my stepfather is a lying, invasive prick who will tell any lie it takes to get my mother to hate me. He's the kind of person that's only happen when the world is miserable. (Don't even go with the "some men just want to watch the world burn" thing, that doesn't apply to him, he wants the world to be miserable).
The second answer being because I'm way too fucking depressed. I can barely form these sentences, I'm not  my usual smart-ass self with the quick responses, I'm thinking about what I say before I say it, and I've come to the conclusion that sometimes music doesn't matter. I feel like Marshall (From How I Met Your Mother) when Lily walked out. Angry, confused, alone, just generally broken. I've been doing everything the G-men have asked of me, I'm playing well with others (Except Frodo, godsdamn you Frodo, learn to shut up), I'm trying to do better in school. It's not going to be enough for them though. In the end, when I ask to see her again, they'll say no. Because all of you fucks working in our "legal system" are just like my stepfather. You just want to see us miserable and abuse your "power" as much as you can. You know the people are too scared to do anything about it, too scared to break your precious rules, and you lock up anyone bold enough to say anything against you.  So here's me speaking out. Here's me telling you the truth you refuse to believe;
You only have as much power as WE give you. WE THE PEOPLE, isn't there some famous document that starts out like that? The one that you, and your kind (The G-Men, Government Workers), have been ignoring for the last hundred years? No matter what's going on we've always got some asshole in some office trying to rip our rights away from us, and I'm not the only one that's sick of it. I mean, 6.5 billion (and counting) people in this world and I'm the only one with the same path of thinking as our ancestors? Those that settled the colonies and fought for their freedoms and what they believe in? If the presidents of old, those just, and righteous bastards, could see us now they probably would've kicked our asses for letting people rule over us the way we do. WHERE IS YOUR FUCKING PATRIOTISM?
See, now I've gone and ruined this post. It was supposed to be something sweet about how much I missed Rocket, ergo the Song of The Day being I'll Be Watching You by The Police.
What's yours?

Rush

I couldn't think of a Song of The Day, so we're doing an artist of the day again. RUSH MOTHERFUCKERS!! ALL RUSH, ALL THE TIME!!! I have the Different Stages Live cd set constantly playing in my stereo. If you don't know who Rush is.. there is no suitable punishment.

We Didn't Start The Fire

So I'm taking this Sociology class over the summer, and it's pretty badass. We had a couple music assignments lately so I figured I'd go a little old school on the chick and pull out some Billy Joel. As a warning; I just got done watching the first two seasons of Archer, so forgive me on my phrasing tonight. Anyway, I used today's Song of The Day in my assignment, which is literally the only reason it's the SOTD for today, although I'm sure if I went into it I could find some deep meaning as to how this song directly relates to my life today and all that shit I'm supposed to do. But rape that. The Song of The Day is We Didn't Start The Fire by Billy Joel. Love it or gtfo.
As a side note, rape jokes are never funny. Unless your talking about superman and batman. Then it's only funny because you just gave hundreds of uber-nerds nightmares for a month. (take that! Piss me off enough today, this is my revenge!!!)

Holy Diver

I'm sorry to say that I may not be posting many songs this summer as the idiot family I'm stuck living with has turned off our internet. Despite the fact that I need it to take care of my online school work and it's basically the only way people actually communicate with me. Especially now that my sister has the phone that all my business posters say to call... Fucking great. So, I'm stuck going to the library every day to take care of my school work and to check out a new comic every once in a while, I guess it's not that much different from a couple months ago. Except this time they have no intention of turning it back on. Which is okay in some cases because with my sister gone I have the PS3 all to myself! I didn't play online that much anyway... So the Song of The Day is Holy Diver by Dio, just to hold you over until I have an actual song for tomorrow.

The Sound of Silence

Guess how much of today made sense! Nothing. I got lost in the dream world last night and I'm not sure if I'm even awake right now. It's a real inception moment, only instead of being Cobb, I'm more like Molley. Which is kind of sad. Don't worry, I'm not going to go off and kill myself because I'm confused, I'm just saying that I don't know what went on today. Literally, I know that I had toast for breakfast, pancakes for lunch, and spaghetti for dinner. Anything in between that really wasn't important I guess. So that's why the Song of The Day is The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel, because I don't understand what the song is about. Not much to report on today, I guess I'm a mean person. I never felt that I was excessively mean, but I can start paying more attention to what I say and do now.
Maybe the song of the day should've been Pain by Three Days Grace

Rock You Like A Hurricane

It was a good day. So it needs a good song. Know what a really good song is? Rock You Like A Hurricane by the Scorpions. Oh, and it's the Song of The Day too. I promise I'll have a longer post soon, but I don't have much that I CAN talk about. It's not that I don't have stuff to talk about, it's that I don't have stuff I can post about on this page.

Take Me Out

The Song of The Day is Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand, and you've probably heard it before. Just because you don't know the name, doesn't mean you haven't heard it already. The only reason this is the song of the day is that I haven't heard it in like 6 years, and I heard it today. No long story about how people should change, no euphemisms describing human activity. Just that. Deal with it and leave.

Janie's Got A Gun

Today marks a sad, sad day for me. It's time to hang up Janie, my acoustic guitar. I named her after the song Janie's Got A Gun by Aerosmith, which is the Song of The Day for today. A few weeks ago, during our preparation for Battle of The Bands, I was getting ready in the morning and let the dogs in so they could eat before I left for school. What does Baby Dog do? She runs in and jumps on my guitar. I didn't notice until last week the giant crack along the part where the neck and body join, and it was only getting worse from all the tension the strings were putting on the neck.
So now the neck is warping inward towards the back, we're gonna try to fix it with old fashioned steam therapy and gorilla glue, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I can scrap the tuner, strings, and pickup from it, but the body is going on the wall.
So the only good thing that really happened today is that I got new strings for my electric. Ernie Ball Super Slinky's, but now I'm out of cash. That's okay for now, cuz The Stepfather owes me 10 bucks, and there's been like 5 people emailing me about some stuff I've posted on Craigslist. (I'll post the links to my ads below. Only reply if you live in the Boise area and are willing to make a drive.)

http://boise.craigslist.org/vgm/2805302446.html

So yeah. Minimal good came out of today, and nothing good can come out of this weekend. I know The Stepfather won't drive me out to see Rocket, and I don't think her grandparents would drive all the way out here just so she could spend a couple hours with me. I'm probably going to have to watch the baby anyway.

Civil War

I am a liar, but I'm an incredibly honest liar. I'll only lie when I need to lie, and I will never intentionally lie to someone who matters to me. So when somebody who matters to me lies to me and I find out, forgive me if I get a bit steamed. Not that any of this has anything to do with the song of the day, which happens to be Civil War by Guns and Roses.
Answer the question or gtfo. What is your song of the day?

Music=Life, Lies=Pointless anger and arguing that never leads to anything good. Not that anything this specific person says can be trusted as truth anymore anyway after the 4th time I've caught a different lie. Nice.

Paint It Black

The internet is doing a blackout today in support of the anti-SOPA thing. So here's my pitch. The Song of The Day is Paint it Black by The Rolling Stones.

Iron Man

So, battle of the bands is coming up at my school. January 13th. Savvy dropped out, and Fat Bastard has something going on that night. Bassman, Doc, and I are still going on. all three of us can sing (nearly), and all three of us can play. The challenge? Can all three of us sing and play at the same time? Here's hoping. Our battle plan is to go on with a three song set if we still have the 30 minutes of time to fill (that includes setup I think.). We'll be doing one original (an entirely new original that we have 4 days to write music and/or possibly lyrics for) and two covers. The covers we're doing are You're Gonna Go Far Kid by The Offspring, and Iron Man by Black Sabbath. Y'know, the band with Ozzy, and then Dio, then they broke up. Now they're getting back together (with Ozzy cuz Dio is y'know, kinda dead.) to do a tour and shit. Whatever, fuck you if you don't know who Black Sabbath is. But yeah, that's really the only reason that todays Song of The Day is Iron Man by Black Sabbath. If I had known it was such an easy song on guitar before, I would have learned it sooner. Rocket is grounded again, for not cleaning her room. Kind of a stupid reason to get grounded. If the adult doesn't have to sleep in the room, why should it matter if it's clean? So long as it doesn't smell odd or anything, then what's the issue? Don't know if she's just grounded from the computer again, or actually grounded this time. Really wanting to call to talk to her, but don't know if it'll get her in trouble. I should go over to her house and help her clean her room and then she shall be ungrounded! 45th best idea ever!
Anyway, Readers who apparently have no fingers to type in an answer (or just don't give a shit, I'd feel better knowing if you had fingers or not though..), what's your song of the day?

Eye of The Tiger

Just keep pushing through life, no matter how many lies are told, how many times you feel dead, and how much your family and everyone around you seems to hate you. Just keep going. Today The Stepfather told me I must be strong, otherwise I'd have killed myself by now. To tell the truth I've thought about it, but I like knowing that by staying alive I'm helping some people. For the Stepfather I'm somebody he can take his stress out on verbally. For some of my friends I'm a booster, telling them what they want and need to hear at times. For the others that just hate me for no known reason I can make them feel better about themselves by just taking whatever verbal ordinance they deploy at me. So, for the fact that I have yet to kill myself no matter how many times I've wanted to, The Song of The Day is Eye of The Tiger by Survivor.

Cold As Ice

Let me start by saying that this song has actually nothing to do with the way that I'm feeling today. Still perfectly in love and have no intention of changing that ever. It's just been stuck in my head for the last 16 hours. The Song of The Day is Cold As Ice by Foreigner. Good song, catchy, stuck in my head, now stuck in yours. It's kind of a anti-love love song. Whatever.

I Wanna Rock

Y'know what I wanna do with my life? I WANNA ROCK! (ROCK!) I WANT TO ROCK! I had to do it, you knew I was going to do it, and you didn't stop me. You bastards. The Song of The Day is I Wanna Rock by Twisted Sister. For those of us who are sick of whiny people telling us we need to "turn it down or turn it off". A message to the whiny people, if you don't like our music, get some earplugs or shut up. Thank you.

Juke Box Hero

Ever have that one song that reminds you of the best and worst feelings you've ever had? My first time on stage. I didn't wear a mask. I wasn't afraid. But I missed my cue to start singing the first time. It was for a competition at my school. One of the judges did a show with Foreigner, and the greatest thing ever, was having him come up to me afterwards and tell me how good of a job I did, and how much I had improved since my audition. The song I did? Juke Box Hero by Foreigner. A "friend" of mine, I put friend in quotes because it was more of a mutual dislike but tolerance of eachother, told me I was great after I was done. But it didn't matter how many people told me how good I was, after that night, I stopped singing. We are our greatest critics, a friend once told me, and they were right. Hearing myself, I know I could've done better. That night was the worst I had ever done, and it destroyed me. Ruined me. All my life I've been singing, since I was little and listening to Hotel California (by The Eagles) in my grandmothers truck. I recently talked to an old mentor and friend of mine, we'll just call him B.B. for now, I forgot how long it had been since we talked, he didn't even know I played guitar. But it got me thinking, thinking about everything that I gave up on. The people, the things, the places. The place. If I ever go back to Pennsylvania, it'll be just to walk those streets again. To see the school that helped me develop the code I go by today. If I ever go back to Pennsylvania, it'll be for the memories. The Song of The Day is Juke Box Hero by Foreigner. Readers, no matter how much you want to forget something, never forget your past. Now, I'm a strong believer that a man's past shouldn't define who they are now, it should be his present, but his past has helped make him who he is in that moment. Never forget what has made you who you are.
