Last Train Home

I'm pretty sure I've done this song before, but like I said, it's a new year. This post goes out to every broken heart on the internet. To those that now know, even when you think you're right, sometimes you have to give to take. There are some of you that see the one responsible for your singing EVERY DAY, which fucking sucks. And to the one that I see every day, I wonder if you're reading, and wonder if you're listening when I'm singing cuz I'm going nowhere.
We sing because we've got a reason to fall in love
We sing if it's not enough
and we sing if we've got a reason to never fall in love again.
That's just a few reasons why we're singing this song though, there are hundreds, if not thousands more. But I haven't the time to point them all out.
Song of the day is Last Train Home by Lostprophets
Now brokenhearts, what's your song of the day?

Scars

How do you help somebody when they refuse to try and help themselves? You can't. And when you try, they might misinterpret what you're doing. You tear your heart open to help these people, and they don't even try to help you stitch the wound. You're stuck sewing yourself shut. Which is more painful emotionally than it should be if you like the person you're trying to help. Even when you can't help them fix themselves, you can at least say you tried. If you're like me, this happens a LOT. So take my example, and the example of the song. Get shit drunk, and stop caring, and move on with your own life. On this note I'd like to point out that the Sadie Hawkins Dance at our school is coming up if any of you F-dub bastards are reading this, and I want to know what you predict your valentines day song to be. Song of the day is Scars by Papa Roach
As usual readers, what is your song of the day?

Hearless

This is a good song. It's about a guys life after some girl left him. And it's by Fake Problems, and it has a banjo in it, ignoring the fact that this is a ridiculously-close-to-being-country song, it's a good song. 3 minutes and 4 seconds of awesome. When typing up my song of the day posts I usually listen to the song on playback while I'm typing it, but I already know the words to this song. Still listening to it of course, but that's beside the point. This song is awesome because he's obviously trying to send a message about a break-up and how it affected him, but his voice is just so happy in the song, it's hard to believe that it really broke him at all. Song of the Day is Heartless by Fake Problems, a band that is currently touring and last I checked is in Ohio I think (?).
Even though nobody ever answers my question, song and artist along with a brief description of why it is your song of the day with your initials or handle at the end, what is your song of the day readers?

Enth E Nd

Linkin Park did a cd with a bunch of rappers, remixed their songs, and the Reanimation Album was the outcome. It kicks ass. Think I've mentioned this before. I think that Enth E Nd's lyrics are more meaningful than the original In The End. They go into more detail and describe it with more imagery and personification. Even the beat of the song is slightly offset, but better. The remix was done by Kutmasta Kurt and Motion Man. Way better than the original, and I think it describes today because today is the day that I will move on from an old.... what's the word... Crush? I don't fucking know. But whatever, she's moving! Yay! I guess. Fuck this isn't going the way I planned. Oh well. I should have another story posted on The ViRUS soon, going to finish the Dreamer stories.
So the song of the day is Enth E Nd by Kutmasta Kurt and Motion Man. While you're looking that up, look up the whole Reanimation album too. It's awesome.

Girl All The Bad Guys Want

Who here is hopeless in the world of "love"? Raise your hands. Now, how many of you just raised your hands at the computer screen? Congratulations, you've just been awarded the Dumbass Of The Day award. Seriously though, "If you were me then you'd be screaming someone shoot me". Literally. I'm going to tell a story, a true story, that almost nobody knows but me and some friends. A few years ago, middle school, I was going out with the girl all the bad guys want. But she didn't want anybody to know. And I was ok with that. STUPID. I should have told everyone. I didn't have to try to be somebody else to get her, and neither do you. What this song has wrong is that girls won't always go for the guy exactly like them. Most of the nicest girls I know are going out with total assholes, and my best friends go out with psycho-bitches. (Again, no logic in high school). But I find myself doing a lot of things just to impress this one girl. Pathetic right? I did start watching wrestling, and listening to rap-metal (Might've forgot to mention, now I'm talking about now, not middle school). Fuck, my parents are even encouraging me. I'm learning parkour and going to try jujitsu. This can only end badly.

"Now I'm watchin wrestling, trying to be a tough guy. Listenin to rap metal, turn tables in my eyes. I can't grow a mustache, I ain't got no season pass, all I got's a moped. It's like a bad movie, she's looking through me, if you were me then you'd be screamin 'someone shoot me' as I fail miserably trying to get the girl all the bad guys want"

Paper Wings/Audience of One

I hate change. Just to throw that out there, I hate change. Moving away, moving out of a house, losing friends, hell I won't even change socks unless I have to. So when something changes or somebody leaves or something like that, it kind of throws me off. Which is why I chose these songs. Most of my friends are moving this year so it's kind of hard to grasp what I'm going to do when everyone but me is gone. Even one of the band members is moving, though I've been told not to say who. But I'm going to be here, unable and unwilling to move as long as I have a chance. Audience of One and Paper Wings both have something to do with friends going away, and both are by Rise Against, which is pretty much my favorite band. But both are excellent songs with meaningful lyrics, and I encourage anybody to look them up. Especially Audience of One.

So the songs(s) of the day is/are Paper Wings by Rise Against and/or Audience of One by Rise Against

As You're Falling Down

Don't really care what the lyrics mean to this song, it's open to interpret for you if you want. I just think it's fucking awesome. This is one of the original Escape The Fate songs, from their five song release before they signed. Found it on itunes for 4.99, and have listened to this song and Dragging Dead Bodies In Blue Bags Up Really Long Hills probably 500 times in the last 6 days. With them though I also got Paper Wings by Rise Against, was getting it for a mixed cd for a friend, and Tribute by Tenacious D. Today I plan on getting Stupid MF by Mindless Self Indulgence. THANK YOU CAMILLE!!! Been working on getting my voice to where I can scream like Ronnie, I think it's going well. Broken Sanity is making no progress I'm sorry to say. Vic just got back from a long vacation. I can put that on here because the guys will never read this XD Anyway, song of the day is As You're Falling Down by Escape The Fate.

Swim

I like Jack's Mannequin. Their music is soft, inspirational, and good. Swim is about not giving up, no matter how hard it gets. If you keep your head above the waters of darkness and sadness, you can see how bright life actually is when we make it through whatever we're going through. Be it death, depression, anger, or just overall horrible circumstances, just keep going. I like to think that this song was written to keep people from suicide. Maybe one person in specific, maybe just as a charity for the world. I went to the music video on youtube and there are currently 81 out of 4,131 people that have seen this video and heard the song that disliked it. I feel sorry for those uninspired bastards and hope that they can find other ways to fulfill their life goals other than to "just keep swimming" (Finding Nemo reference!). So the Song of The Day is Swim by Jack's Mannequin. Weird band name I know, somebody once tried to tell me that they're all about death and suicide and everything, poor bastard. I know that my recent posts have been kind of short, but in light of the song and mood I'm in I'd like to take a moment to discuss suicide. I read in a newspaper that more Active-Duty military soldiers commit suicide than die in combat. And one of my good friends recently took their own life as well. What drives people to this borderline insanity can't be attributed to one specific cause, it's an overall thing. Some people can't take the stress of everyday life, some people think that their life is pointless and has no meaning. Some people might be right, but just because the world's gone to shit, doesn't mean that you can call it quits. "Just keep your head above", don't give in to the waves and currents of everyday life, Swim.

Nice Guys Finish Last

I might have already done this one, but I don't give a fuck. It's a new year, new template. Nice guys never win. I've gone my life being the nice guy. Helped people, stopped a few suicides, saved a friends life. But nice guys never win. Girls, power, money, success, the assholes get it all. I can't continue on this subject without naming people, so I'm ending it here. Song of the Day is Nice Guys Finish Last by Green Day. Now fuck off.

Kick My Ass

My Stepfather get's back from military deployment tomorrow, oh joy. The song of the day is in preparation for tomorrow, Kick My Ass by Big&Rich. This was the ringtone for his number on my first cell phone, so I thought it would be fitting for the song of the day right before he get's back to be this. And everybody does seem to want to kick my ass. Most for reasons that don't even make sense. The ending of it doesn't even make sense. After the main song, it goes into this weird half spanish half english rap. Two things that should never be combined are rap and country. It's like mixing oil and water, just take a match to it, seriously. So readers, what's your song of the day?

Dirty Little Secret

This song is cool because it's catchy, and the video was made in cooperation with postsecret.com. Postsecret.com is a project where people anonymously send in their secrets on post cards. The secrets are then either posted to the website or archived. We all have secrets. Some good and some bad, some just feelings that we could never admit to another person. I like postsecret because it gives everyone a chance to relieve themselves of the weight of their secrets. The song is about sharing a secret with somebody, at least in my interpretation. It's important not to keep too many secrets. Some, like a good story, just need to be told. Never make a promise to keep a secret, if you're smart, never make any promises, you never know when the circumstances might call for you to break them. That's all for today, me and all my 98 page views thank you for reading, and ask you

Here Without You

When you have friends, any friends, girlfriends boyfriends best friends, you want to stick with them. Right? Hopefully, otherwise there's no point in you trying to find friends. Now when you find someone you want to stick with, for however long you want, keep them with you. I don't mean physically, I mean spiritually. When you can't be WITH someone, they can still be with you. Leaving people behind doesn't mean that you have to forget them, or even stop caring. Childhood friends, adult friends, coworkers, you remember them. Keep people close to you, the ones that matter I mean. And if you're one of those people that believes that "every human life is sacred"..... you are fucked. I'm here without a lot of people. But there will always be two that I wish I never had to leave. I'll always hate the reasons why, and the people responsible, even in the smallest fraction. But I'll always have them with me, just as you should always have your friends with you.
So the song of the day is Here Without You by 3 Doors Down
